We didn't get down to the allotment at all yesterday as the weather was appalling - it rained all day - although it was probably good for all the vegetables we have growing. We were hoping it wouldn't have the same effect on the weeds but they have loved the warm weather and then the rain yesterday and were out in full force. So this morning we have been doing some weeding, checking whether anything had grown (I don't think so, but I am unsure to whether we have a very small potato plant, pea plant etc, or whether we have weeds !!! Time will tell ! One of the Runner Bean plants hasn't grown at all and doesn't look too healthy but the others are all looking really good.
We then carried on digging over the soil and removing weeds towards the front of our plot ready for this afternoon when Daddy is coming down to help us put the edging boards on the beds. Really looking forwrad to seeing them in place :-) Henry did alot of raking and some digging too.
We then planted a row of cauliflower (F1 Hybrid Dunkeld) next to the existing purple sprouting broccoli plants.
